Abstract
결론
타이타늄의 주조성에 관한 연구를 위하여 상악의 Kennedy 분류 Ⅰ, division 2 의 금속
구조물을 설계, 매몰하여 타이타늄과 코발트-크롬 합금으로 각각 주조하여 관찰한 결과, 다
음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
1. 타이타늄은 코발트-크롬 합금에 비하여 주조체의 적합성과 표면 재현성에 있어서 필적
할 만하다.
2. 타이타늄 및 코발트-크롬 합금의 주조체에서 방사선 사진상으로 관찰될 만큼 커다란
기포는 보이지 않았다.
3. 내부에 존재하는 기포의 빈도는 두 가지 금속에서 비슷한 정도로 나타났으며, 좁고 긴
형태의 유해한 기포의 존재도 두 금속 재료에서 특별한 차이를 보이지 않았다.
4. 코발트-크롬 합금의 VHN은 439.4±16.1, 타이타늄의 VHN는 200.1±23.3로서 두 가지
금속 모두 금속 구조물로서 필요한 경도를 만족하였다.
5. 타이타늄의 생체적합성과 낮은 밀도는 금속 구조물에의 응용시 환자에게 많은 장점을
부여할 것으로 사료된다.

In order to investigate the castability of titanium, Kennedy Class Ⅰ, division 2
removable partial denture frameworks were designed. According to the manufacturer's
instruction, 10 casting bodies each were obtained with pure titanium and cobalt-chrome
alloy. The results were as follows ;
1. Castability of titanium was comparable with that of cobalt-chrome alloy in terms of
fitness and surface detail reproducibility.
2. There was no radiographically detectable porosity in each casting body of titanium
and cobalt-chrome alloy.
3. The number of infernal porosities and narrow, long defects were almost same
between titanium and cobalt-chrome alloy.
4. Vickers hardness number of cobalt chrome alloy was 439.4±16.1 and that of
titanium was 200.1±23.3.
5. Biocompatibility and low density of cartable titanium would provide denture wearers
with multiple benefits.
